meet danny

I am a graduate of Midfield High School and Bessemer State Technical College (now Lawson State CC). I am a lifelong resident of this district. I am an automotive technician by trade—a refreshing divergence from the lawyers and corporatist businessmen that we have come accustomed to in politics.

I decided to run for office because I was tired of sitting around complaining on Facebook about the ever-increasing authoritarianism that is the status-quo. I decided I had to get a seat at the table if I wanted to effect change.

My first passion, politically, is gun rights—the right that enables us to protect all the others. An armed populace is a free populace. It is my belief that the founders meant it when they wrote, “shall not be infringed.” This passion grew first into a desire to preserve all the rights protected by the Bill of Rights, and further into all human rights.

As the next AL Senator for District 19, I will fight to remove the Alabama sales tax on groceries and other essential items, as well as reverse the 2018 gas tax that was railroaded through the state legislature.

I want to end prohibition on cannabis and other naturally occurring substances.

I will introduce legislation to end civil asset forfeiture and qualified immunity, and to hold government officials accountable for their actions.

I believe the power belongs with the people, and as such I am a proponent of putting that power back in their hands through voter initiative and referendum.

Let's remind the folks in Montgomery and in Washington that they are representatives, not rulers. I believe that EVERY individual has the right to life, liberty, and property. These are the foundations through which all human rights exist. The only way for us to pursue these rights is to get the government out of our wallets and out of our bedrooms.
