Meet Danny Glasser

About Me

I’m a committed community leader with deep experience in both business and nonprofit advocacy. I’m running for Park City Council to help drive meaningful, lasting progress for the community we love.

Education

I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Human and Organizational Development and Political Science from Vanderbilt University, and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

Leadership and Impact

As demonstrated in my time in Park City, I can create an impact playing a wide variety of roles in varied organizations.

o   National Ability Center - I know how to lead a team and maintain a budgetary discipline as I did at the National Ability Center, empowering my team to double our revenues in my time there and successfully reviving and overseeing the completion of beautiful McGrath Mountain Center.

o   Studio Crossing Affordable Housing – I know how to advocate and secure a beneficial outcome for multiple parties as I did with Crandall Capital and the Quinns Junction community as well as our first responders and local educators.

o   Serve Park City – I know how to collaborate with a small group of equals as I did with the Park City Humanitarians on Serve Park City 2024.  I worked along with a dedicated group of volunteers to help deliver an amazing day of service in which over 900 volunteers worked together in support of our city, our not for profits, and to bring our community together for our collective common good. This year, I will co-chair our Day of Service with Karen Marriott as we work to enable over 1,000 volunteers to deliver positive impacts all around our beautiful community.

o   Park City Nonprofit Advisory Committee – I know how to foster a collaborative and supportive environment to achieve collective success as I have as the first chairman of the Park City Nonprofit Advisory Committee.  I worked to foster an environment that encouraged all parties to participate, to welcome different opinions, and to provide room for open and honest discussions.  I did this as a peer leader and partner to an amazing group of citizens.

I have also held key leadership roles at organizations outside of Park city, such as VIDERI, Brigantine Holdings, and Deluxe Entertainment Services.

Family

My wife, Melissa, and I have four wonderful children; Gabriella, Maya, Jackson, and Lily. Our older girls, Gabriella and Maya, are working toward masters and doctoral degrees respectively at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA and at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Our son, Jackson, graduated from PCHS and will be working this summer as a camp counselor at Summer Adventure Day Camp, Park City, before heading to University of Denver in the fall. Lily, our youngest, will be working at Dolly’s Bookstore this summer before returning to Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT this fall.

Throughout the year I can be found skiing at any of our three mountains, walking our golden doodle - Bear, biking, hiking, fly fishing with friends, volunteering at any one of a number of organizations, or on Tuesdays at Park City Rotary. Melissa can be found at the MARC, Basin Rec or Ecker Middle School swimming every day, Mountain Top Physical Therapy, Lundstrom Chiropractic, or at Energy4Life or celebrating daily life with friends.

Commitment to Serve

I was raised with the belief that if you see a problem, you have a responsibility to help solve it. That sense of duty — to be a good neighbor, a good friend, and an engaged citizen — comes from my Midwestern roots. Here in Park City, that means listening with intention, learning from others, and working together to build a stronger community for everyone.
